Hanahan is a fiery soloist and one of the most exciting young players to arrive in New York City in years. WBGO says, “While she's comfortable building phrases within the language of Charlie Parker, Hanahan is also confident exploring along the outer edges of the music.” Originally from Massachusetts, she was based in Hartford while she attended the Jackie McLean Institute.
